This drawing honors my Great Grandpa Tom, who taught me to fish during our yearly vacations to Florida. He came to this country from Sicily. We’d spend time with him in Marco Island, where he always wore this suit for dinner at local restaurants. After his passing, I began creating this piece to preserve his memory, capturing his warmth and joy but also his determination and toughness.
